Asia is the largest and most populous continent in the world, its extraordinary geographical, cultural, linguistic and religious richness has fostered the birth of some of the oldest cultures in human history:
Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, and Taoism.
In recent decades, technological development and cultural dynamism have created an evolving “landscape”, tradition shapes cities and people's daily lives,
between the past and a drive toward the future unfolds the search for a fragile balance, from which inevitable contradictions arise:
whether obvious or elusive, these contradictions do not go unnoticed by those who choose to perceive them from a viewpoint free of prejudice.
Many times, the complexity is so intense that it defies all logic, appearing almost unreal, especially due to the contrast between wealth, modernity, and poverty, misery.
My experiences in Asian regions have provided opportunities to observe the speed at which modernity advances and, consequently, how contradictions become increasingly visible;
this is not a judgment or a moral stance, simply an observation without any critical intent.
The human aspect, immersed in multiplicity, has impressed and fascinated me.
My work consists of observing and reflecting on everyday human life within this rich and intense urban context.
